Anabolic Definition
What Is Anabolic?

Any process involving the building of complex compounds from smaller simpler ones (for example proteins are built from amino acids). This process requires energy. Anabolic can be stated as something that causes a building-up of tissue, or anabolism. Anabolism generally refers to an increase in lean tissue, particularly muscle. The synthesis of complex molecules in living organisms from simpler ones together with the storage of energy is anabolic. Thus anabolic is the processes or changes during anabolism or it is a constructive process.
